Yes, the Upslide's wide leather upper band is designed to hold the foot securely across the vamp without a back closure. The HI THERE wavy platform sole also helps guide the foot naturally, reducing the toe-gripping tendency common in poorly designed slide sandals. The padded leather insole adds grip and cushioning underfoot.

1 1/8" at the forefoot and 3 1/4" at the heel, the standard HI THERE platform profile. Because the entire sole is elevated rather than just the heel, your foot stays in a natural parallel-to-ground position, making the Upslide significantly more stable and comfortable than a traditional 3 1/4" heel at the same measurement.
